Reformer FAQ
-
We strongly recommend attending a beginner course or 1:1 tutorial prior to attending your first class. This is to ensure your safety and also so we can introduce you to the concepts and foundations of Pilates so that you can get the most out of your classes.
Your first class after a course or tutorial will be an Elements (beginner) or Open (mixed levels) class. Absolute beginners are discouraged to attend Reformer Elevate classes as they are pitched to an intermediate/advanced level.

Create an account on our website or app (search for Unite Studio or Unite Movement and look for our three triangle logo!) to purchase your sessions and manage your bookings.
Class bookings are essential and must be made through the website or Unite Studio app. There are a set number of spaces in each class. To attend a class, you must reserve a space. If a class is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist.
Bookings can be made 12 weeks in advance.
-
If a class is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist. If there are any cancellations, you will be notified via email up to an hour before the class commences. Jump on quickly as the space will be allocated to the first person that books in.
-
Cancellations or rescheduling group classes must be done through our Unite Studio app or by emailing our studio directly at hello@unitemovement.com.au.
Cancellations must be made at least 4 hours prior to the class start time to avoid losing your session credits. Cancellations made with less than 4-hours notice will incur the full cost of the class booked.
There is a strict 12-hour cancellation policy for private sessions. If you fail to cancel within this time, you will lose your session and you may be charged a cancellation fee.
If you know you will not be able to make a class for which you have booked, within the 4-hour cancellation window, we strongly encourage a cancellation to be made, so that another person may take your reservation on the reformer.

Unite Studio can accommodate pregnant clients under 14 weeks in all classes unless you are experiencing complications in your pregnancy. After 14 weeks we ask that you provide clearance from your care provider to participate in Reformer Pilates classes. You may also continue your usual classes with approval from us and with modifications.
Specialty Pre/Postnatal Classes are offered (see timetable) and are instructed by pre- and post-natal exercise trained myotherapists. These specialty pregnancy classes are safe for women to attend throughout their entire pregnancy up to full term, if they feel comfortable to do so.
If you are newly post-natal, we ask that you wait until after you receive the all clear from your 6 week GP/Obstetrician check up to make sure that everything is healing well and your body and your mind is ready.
If you are new to Reformer Pilates, we highly recommend starting with a private session in order to learn the modifications required for pregnancy and/or your newly post-partum body.
